March/April 2016 - I've been enjoying time back in the recording studio with some Boston friends on a fun side project - more to come here too! We've also enjoyed seeing our friend, Cory Wong, on TV, playing with Ben Rector on Conan in April.

January 2016 - Happy New Year! It was a great trip to the UK in December - a bit of a whirlwind, but we got everything done. Thanks to everyone who came out to The Dublin Castle, Camden show on a rainy London night - so much fun to play for you there. We've just started publishing the videos of the trip and will be announcing the EP release date soon...

December 2015 - Packing up my acoustic guitar, ticket from Boston in hand, see you in London! On 10 December I will play The Dublin Castle, renowned as both the birthplace of Britpop and the ancestral seat of Madness. The venue also played an integral part in the early careers of acts such as Muse, The Libertines, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers.
November 2015 - I will now be in the UK 5-12 December for press and with some shows in London and Birmingham confirmed. I'm also very pleased to announce that I will one again be joined by the talented Ryan Liestman on guitar and vocals for this mini-tour.
October 2015 - I'm pleased to announce a very unique partnership with SAS Entertainment. Together we will bring Malin's music and live show to the UK in 2016! More to come here - we're working hard in the background to make it all happen and look forward to seeing you over the pond soon!.September 2015 - I'm happy to announce a show with Livingston Taylor in Cary Hall Lexington on October 16th. After a huge, multi-million dollar renovation, it's an honor to be asked to play the first few tunes in there on opening night! I will be playing songs from High Tide Adventures solo acoustic, so it's a unique chance to hear these songs rendered as close to the original demos as you can get... alongside 799 other folks!! I'm also working to finalize a December trip to London and northern England to come and say hello to faces old and new, stay tuned here.

August 2015 - First of all, I want to send out a big huge thanks to everyone who made it out to our shows in Ireland. It was a fantastic time and I had the pleasure of sharing some big stages with an amazing bevy of talent: John Richardson, Cory Wong, Ryan Liestman and Adam Beard.
July 2015 - I had the pleasure of meeting and performing with Aileen Henderson from Light Over There in Galway, Ireland. We managed to make it to the legendary open mike at Roisin dubh. We will be playing some more shows around Ireland when I return in August.

May 2015 - Things are shaping up - We have our first few dates in Ireland confirmed...
April 2015 - I'm heading overseas this summer for an Ireland tour in August! Dates TBA. Also, plans are in place for the new record to drop in June! Stay tuned.....
March 2015 - We now have keys and backing vocals done! Next step: Mixing in Nashville.
November 2014 - More tracking, finished the basics, made a video,... with a Mariachi band. Phew! Big month for the new record and I'm very pleased with the progress. Still a lot to do.
October 2014 - Well, the magic finally happened. Four guys in a room, a bag of freshly written songs and two engineers press the red button... I've just returned from the initial tracking sessions for my new record and safe to say, we're off to a great start! Update 10/31: We had so much fun that we're doing it all over again in November to finish the basic tracking and record a few videos! Watch this space.
September 2014 - Booking, booking, booking... we're adding more shows, working hard on preproduction and already starting to look into 2015! Fall is barely here in New England and already I hear rumours of snow from our Canadian neighbors to the North! I managed to catch Britt Connors CD Release show in Club Passim and was inspired - a great performance, a tight band (Mike Connors, Greg Loughman & John Funkhouser & Andrew Stern) and it made me want to experiment with those funny double-capos!
August 2014 - I aired out some of my new songs in Framingham at the Amazing Things Arts Center. Great venue - an old Firehouse. This was an all-originals set featuring the very talented Ronnie Hirschberg Band (Mike Connors, Alison Keslow & Chuck Clough). Also had a great show with The Butler Frogs at Vine Brook Tavern in Lexington this month. Looking forward to starting a regular feature here. Watch this space...

Bio
So when a Northern Irish lad packed his guitar and headed off to try his luck at living the dream in America, little did he know that he would be mixing with legends of Nashville and the East Coast pop music scene. However, this songsmith warrior with his unassuming air of mystery from the northern shores of Ireland did just that upon landing in Boston. Finding much inspiration in the New England air, he rapidly wrote a collection of amazing songs and proceeded into the studio under the banner of MALIN with some of the most talented musicians the US can muster - credits with the likes of John Mayer, Blind Boys of Alabama, Badfinger, John Oates, Brad Paisley, Shawn Mullins and Gin Blossoms.
Upon hearing the results, it was no surprise he ended up in Nashville with multiple Grammy winning engineers Joe Baldridge [Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban] and Richard Dodd [Tom Petty, George Harrison, Green Day, Wilco, Melissa Etheridge] jumping on board to work with this inspiring talent.

The resulting pristine recordings on the new EP Only The Best Ones showcase the depth of emotion that MALIN brings to life in each of the songs. Effortless pure vocals, catchy hooks and melodies grab you from the beginning of each song. They stick in your head, taking you on a musical journey through the highs and lows of everyday life.
CAUGHT IN YOUR HALO is the first taster track from the EP, having become a firm favourite on a recent tour of Ireland, where he cemented his reputation as a formidable live performer, very much in the style of Bruce Springsteen. The live act can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on venue and audience and is always a non-stop, full on passionate affair. NOT ABOUT YOU the radio single and Only The Best Ones will be released in the UK early in 2016 and supported by a radio promotional tour with select live gigs. It is a driving, edgy pop track that has radio hit written all over it. So at the moment there is a little mystery surrounding MALIN - who is he, where has he come from, why haven’t we heard of him before... well, the answers are coming soon... as he says:
